Online Experience A Wrap Up

technology is important because it keeps us connected almost instantly. technology has changed so much in the last five years. for example phones have transformed from simple flip phones. and computers have transformed into ultra slim laptops. i believe it will change in the next five years for example phones that pop up in 3d and 5G for phones. I use many types of online technology in school like power point, word and other Microsoft applications. for personal use i use things like twitter and youtube. i might use it for a job that included typing letters or creating a slide show for a architectural job. blog is the most common for life long learning. i will never use Delicious again. Igoogle was my favorite. my least favorite was Delicious. Online Safety is being safe when on the internet. Internet searching is using search engines to find info or something you are looking for. Copyright is the use of a object without the owners consent. Shout out to Spencer Sullivan!  

Cyberbu//y

The movie was okay it was a little dramatized but it did connect to real life. I think this movie was a good way to connect to the cyber bullying problems in the real world. This stuff happens all the time on social networking sites. however in most cases of cyber bullying the bullied normally doesn't stand up to the bully or commit suicide.  They do however go to help groups and inform the police, the principal and the parent. Yes, it was similar to some of the cases we talked about before like the women who pretended to be a teenage boy and then turned on her. 

The podcast i watched was about Marine training, i liked this because it was hands on and i could actually see what they were doing instead of just reading it, if you need to show them or you don't know how to explain it you can just show you doing it in a video. It is reliable because it was a TV channel based on Military called the Military channel and i have watched the channel before so it is reliable.

Comparing voki and blabberize

I liked blabberize the most because it was much easier and faster than voki and much easier to create a persona that you like. although voki did have some good things like a wide selection of characters and you can type the words you want instead of having to say it in case you don't have a mic. over all they were both good sites and i would recommend them both.

Tracking Teresa

The information Teresa gave out was her name, telephone number, and the time she would be home and her email. we also know the name of her brother and father because of the name she had in her message (bobby) and her full name is Teresa Doe. with that information he was able to find out her area zip code, where she lives which is Lorel, where she goes to school and her parents name. Yes i have put personal information but only my email so I can log in to my iGoogle and other sites that my computer class needs. don't ever give information and be careful what you do put on there because people can look it up and find out where you live from just your name and phone number!    

Netiquette

Netiquette is a set of rules for behaivor online. It affects everyone on a social site. Good netiquette involves not getting involved in cyber-fights, and always respect everyone else. Poor netiquette includes commenting rudley on a persons blog and get into fights and trying to start fights.

A social network is a website like facebook and twitter that allows you to stay connected with your friend and meet new people. it is also a major site for creepers and rapists so be careful who you open up to. A digital footprint is your identity on the internet. It allows people to see your digital footprint in your age, location ect. It also allows people to find out more about you like your daily posts, pictures and comments you make.

Universal Music sues Grooveshark for copyright infrigment. Universal studios claimed to have access to the companies e-mails and other documents that included recorded songs that were illegaly recorded and copied by Grooveshark from Universal Musics company company including thousands of songs. the CEO Samuel Tarantino is accused of having uploaded at least 1,791 copyrighted songs. Grooveshark is sued for 150,000 dollars for recording and uploading copyrighted songs from Universal Studios.

Country Wrap Up

I felt that i did ok on the presentation is could use some work though. I needed to finish the offline reaserch. I felt that i did a good job on the history and attractions. I couldve done better on the current information like finish the birth rate. I did'nt explain the pictures in the first 2 slides. Other than that i feel like i did a good job!

The New Year!

My highlight of 2011 was when another set of twins was born into my family. i now have 4 pairs of twins in my family. They are girls and are now about 9-12 months old. I can't remember any low points in 2011. My goals for 2012 are to get the police code's and signals sheet for the monroe county sherrifs department. If i was given 100,000 dollars to start off the year i would go to Taco Bell and I would make myself navy blues (which is the outfit you get in the United States Marine Corps, the outfit with the white hat and gloves and the dark blue pants and shirt.
